Halloween in Bowling Green

Charlotte's first Halloween was spent in Bowling Green Kentucky with us, her grandparent's (Jeff's parents), her Uncle Matt and Aunt Cheryl and cousin Reese!  This was a last minute over night trip, but we are so glad we were able to spend time with the Lyons family.  Sadly we missed our Trunk or Treat at the Bridge and Charlotte did not wear her costume, but we had a great Halloween anyway!

Charlotte's cousin Reese was born May 17, so they are just about 4 months apart.  It is crazy to think that Charlotte was where Reese is today just 4 months ago.  Part of me feels like it has flown by and part of me feels like it was just yesterday - how does this happen!?  Reese is such a cutie, and I know that once they start being able to remember each other and play together, they will be best buds :)  We are sad that Matt and Cheryl had to move out of BG and a couple hours away to Lexington, but are glad we can gather at Jim and Jo's new house in BG to visit.

Nap schedules seemed to keep them apart for most of the time, but we did get some fun photos of the girls together.  In some ways they are totally different, and other times it looks like they could be sisters.  It is amazing how children can become this little person that looks just like mom's side and just like dad's side.

The only disruption to this weekend was Saturday night.  Charlotte woke up throwing up :( Poor Kiddo.  I'll spare you the details, but it was not fun for anyone!  We were all up for hours at 2 am in the morning, and with the time change, we were all totally out of wack for days.  Thankfully, it seemed to be something that just upset her stomach and not a bug or the flu.  Sunday morning Charlotte woke up perfectly fine, she was in a good mood and ate well!  The only thing left was some sleepiness so we had plenty of naps the next few days.  Needless to say we did not make it to Living Hope (our old church) like we had wanted to, but now that Jim and Jo are back in BG we know we'll get by there soon enough.

Now, it is tough getting to babies to look at you and smile at the same time, but we had fun trying!  Here are some memorable photos from this past Halloween weekend.[gallery columns="4"]
